Why have a wedding?
Weddings are an important display of your loyalty and love to your partner. It's not just about the wedding day, or even the marriage. It's about love. Love is timeless, and weddings are a way to celebrate that spirit of love and the promise of what it means to be in love with someone.
It's a celebration of the couple, but it's also a celebration of their community—a community that has come together to support them as they enter into this new stage of their lives together. In many cultures, weddings are sacred rituals performed to celebrate love and commitment between two people who want to spend the rest of their lives together. You can travel the world and witness all forms of weddings, its such a beautiful way to express your love.
They serve as a way to announce your love for someone and to share it with everyone else. It is a time to celebrate and be happy, but also a time to reflect on the meaning behind the commitment being made. A commitment to that person with whom you love with all your heart. Yes I believe in happily ever after’s!
Love is love, I perform ceremonies for all. I am an alley of LGBTQ2S+. It is amazing to live where it is legal and safe to perform these weddings, this is another reason why having a wedding matters, because our ancestors were not able to be free or have these types of weddings before. So celebrating LOVE truly heals, it truly sets the stage of acceptance and sharing LOVE for all!
With everything going on in the world today, such as health crisis, pandemics, recessions, knowing that you have someone beside you during these times, gives you a sense of calmness, a sense of security and safety, knowing you are not alone. Knowing that you will get through this, like your ancestors did, together! Love makes burdens lighter, love makes your heart smile. Yes, having a wedding solidifies that smile forever! People are beings of connections, and having someone you can connect to someone you can share your everything with, is truly priceless.
