What happens in a Reiki class?
Reiki is an energy healing modality that has been around for thousands of years. It helps people balance their body, mind and spirit by using energy to create a flow of healing in the body. Whether you're looking to become a healer or simply want to learn how to use Reiki for your own purposes, my level I class is the place to start. I have been teaching Reiki since 2007, and a Reiki Master since 2004, I love Reiki. Anyone can learn Reiki, it doesn’t matter your age or your job title. I have Reiki students from all walks of life, lawyers, naturopaths, therapists, moms, students, spiritual leaders, coaches, and even my children!
What happens in a reiki class?
In my Usui Reiki level 1 class, you'll learn the history of Reiki, how it can be used for self-healing or helping others with pain relief and stress reduction, the hand positions, about the 7 main chakras (energy centers) in the body, how to feel energy flow through your hands and more! Yes you'll be able to experience how it feels and see how it works with lots of practice time.
I’ll give you the attunement which is the process of opening your crown chakra and initiating you into the Reiki linage. This involves me walking around you and writing sacred symbols on your aura. Some people feel warmth, feel peace, oneness or see colors when this happens. After the attunement you will be able to channel the Reiki energy! Than we will have lunch and the students will have an opportunity to discuss their attunement experience.
I'll also guide you through a self-treatment so that you can give yourself Reiki whenever you want or need it in the future. After that, we'll learn how to give Reiki treatments to others—and then we'll practice doing group treatments together! You're going to love sharing this experience with everyone.
At the end of the class, you will receive your manual, certificate of completion, and attunement.
Reiki helps you live with more harmony and balance by allowing you to see things more clearly and without judgment. When your mind is clear, it's easier for you to make better decisions, which in turn contributes to living a healthier life overall.
